Hello!

I have a question that I would love some help with, as I seem to have run out of ideas. What are some things that people do for holidays, with or for their kids that either don’t cost anything or cost very little? (I am in the west of Melbourne)

  • Pitch a tent in your backyard and go camping! Our local council often have activities for kids over holidays. Some are for nothing, others are for gold coin donation. Local libraries and museums usually have school holiday activities too

  • Your local library usually has school holiday activities. Your local council often has a list of activities in the area too. I used to like taking the kids to the museum, who also have school holiday activities. Then there’s always parks, drive around and visit different ones

  • Make day trips to the beach or different parks, take a trip to the city, botanic gardens etc.
