  • I had big issues with sunscreen with my son. He was allergic to everything. Then a Dr recommended I try a sunscreen that was zinc based. Avene was the only one he didn’t react too.. Moo Goo was the worst reaction.

  • Cetaphil baby and Badger (from iHerb) are known to be good for sensitive skin, Aveeno has a sunscreen for babies too

  • We used banana boat

  • Ocean Australia is good for little skin and is kind to the ocean too with the ingredients they use. Banana boat is ok,but might not be ideal for sensitive skin.

  • A couple of people mentioned Banana Boat, My school age nephew had a bad reaction to the kids’ one. His skin went as red as red bricks and was obviously painful. He looked like he had been splashed with very hot water. The of his worst areas was where they had put a little bit extra on his ears. It looked really nasty so to make sure it was hopefully an allergy they took him to the Dr. They had to put special cream on it and he was given mild medication. The thing was he was incomplete shade under a verandah most of the time. They put it on as a precaution in case he ran and played hide & Seek in the sun.

  • We used Moo goo I think, which was great

  • I have tried to cancer council baby one and it seems fine for my 15 month with sensitive skin.

  • I would pay your local pharmacist a visit and ask them. They are a wealth of information

  • Wotnot, they have a babies range also. And are zinc based.

  • I’ve had to try a few before I found one that my little bub was comfortable with. A few years back I found a brand in the pharmacy that I hadn’t seen before, and it worked a treat, unfortunately, I can’t find it anymore, but as my kids grow up they are less and less sensitive. Banana Boat is our go to now – Sensitive for kids.

  • Be careful as some shouldn’t be used best to ask your doctor or chemist they would be the best people to ask about this.

  • I use Banana Boat Baby Sensitive on mine.

  • Any pure zinc products should be ok. We’ve used Supergoop Sunnyscreen 100% Mineral Lotion and Sheer Zinc from Neutrogena

  • SunSense Sensitive invisible zinc SPF 50+ is the best sunscreen I have found.

Specially designed for sensitive skin, this gentle lotion provides SPF 50+ broad-spectrum protection and helps defend against sunburn and premature skin ageing. It has a lightweight feel and dries clear making it ideal for face or body. Suitable for babies.

UVA & UVB broad spectrum protection
    No chemical absorbers
    Fragrance free
    Invisible finish
    4 hours water resistant
Paediatrician tested (suitable for babies 6 months +)
Contains soothing and protective Zinc Oxide
Contains Vitamin B3 to help maintain normal skin barrier function and reduce skin sensitivity
    Non-comedogenic (won’t clog pores)

  • WOTNOT SUNSCREEN IS FAB OR ANY ZINC BASED ONLY SUNSCREEN – THESE WILL BE SUITABLE FOR BABY’S SKIN OR ANYONE WITH SENSITIVE SKIN. NO CHEMICAL ABSORBERS.

  • I use Little Innoscents on my little one. She has some eczema and this does not seem to irritate it. Free of nasty chemicals too.
