If the rice sticks to the bottom, I just put some water in to cover it, and let soak for an hour or so then you can clean it without any issues.

Mine is a Breville and it works really well.

Being Asian background , we were brought up on rice cookers . I would not put it in the dishwasher as there is a potential for damage. The best way to clean is as soon as you finfiah your meal , scoop out all the rice. You will notice some will stick in the bowl . Using warm or hot water ( NEVER cold ) , soak it for about an hour. You will find later that all the rice will loosen . Then you can scoop out the gunk to the rubbish bin and then gently clean it with a soft sponge or cloth wth a bit of detergent . It will always work , no need to scrub or use harsh material as the hot water will lift out the rice .

I have a very cheap rice cooker – the bowl is teflon so wipes clean unless the rice burns. You get what you pay for and mkne splatters starchy liquid around the kitchen which is almost invisible sticky and slippery

The bowl usually separates from cooker for cleaning, well mind does anyway and its just a cheapy.

I would go for the Tupperware one it is easy to use and you can pop in the dishwasher for clean up

All rice cookers dont Last long if you put them in the dishwasher but brevilles really good wipe after use

most rice cookers are non stick and so very easy to wash out. I have sunbeam one and very easy to clean. just dont use metal like scourer on it as the non stick coating will come off.

Tupperware microwave rice cooker is the BEST ! Easy to clean – and you can make a single portion or enough for 6 people…LOVE it !
