We have bought a lot of luggage from Zellows and Strandbags and have found them to be good quality and reasonably priced.

You need to be careful with buying cheap suit cases, especially for overseas travel. The airlines can be pretty rough with luggage, cheap stuff has a high chance of breaking open

Try looking on Ebay, Reject also have good sales.

Just check online for sites like Groupon, Catch of the Day, Scoopon, sometimes they have great deals.

I would try to buy second hand good quality as otherwise the handles and zips will let you down. Have a great holiday.

Maybe you could try the local op shops, followed by GumTree since these places will hold items that are pre-loved and should be cheaper than new. There can be really good bargains if you find what you want. Also have a look on Ebay, since they often have brand new items that you can’t find in the shops for a reasonable price, or people sell items that they no longer want. Don’t forget that you can buy small wheels / trolleys to help you manage larger cases. If your luggage is mainly clothing you could get away with a large backpack / cloth bag which would be light, then put more delicate items in a sturdy suitcase.

I googled suitcases and found there were reasonble prices around but in the end we borrowed from family!

Interesting question – we were in a luggage shop last week and were wanting a “bigger than cabin and smaller than medium case”.

We were told that the size we were wanting is no longer made – 3 sizes only CABIN, MEDIUM and LARGE. This is across all brands – everything now super standardised. Perhaps seeking second hand could be possible? Otherwise a combination of sizes across family members might be necessary.
