I wanted to ask if anyone here is running a small business website and using VPS hosting instead of normal shared hosting?
I started with shared hosting because it was cheap and easy. But as my website traffic slowly increased, I noticed it became slow sometimes, especially during busy hours. That made me look into VPS hosting.
From what I understand, VPS gives you more control, better speed, and improved security compared to shared hosting. It seems like a good option if your website is growing or if you are running an online store.
I was reading about VPS Hosting
and it explains how it works and why it can be more stable for business websites. It sounds helpful, especially if you don’t want your site to crash when more people visit at the same time.
But I’m still confused, is VPS too technical for beginners? Do you need strong technical knowledge to manage it, or is it manageable with basic skills?
If anyone here has experience with VPS hosting, I would love to know:
Was it worth upgrading from shared hosting?
Did you notice better speed?
Was it hard to manage?
Is it cost-effective for a small business?
I don’t want to overspend, but I also don’t want my website to look unprofessional because of slow loading.
Would really appreciate your honest advice and experiences 💛
