  • I think most of them have a lot of sugar in them but try a naturally toasted muesli

  • The uncle Toby’s plus range are pretty good and my kids also like Cheerios.

  • We do all bran on yoghurt with fruit. I like it as is, but I crunch it up a bit for my son so it’s not as spiky. It’s a fun crunchy texture!

  • Wow, I was going to say oats of Weetbix. I have Weetbix with cacao powder (makes it taste chocolatey), add some bananas, berries and a mix of nuts, seeds, dried fruit and coconut and it tastes so good!

  • Cheerios are a good option

  • You just crossed out my top 2 breakfast cereals. Bircher muesli, made at home, is yummy, not sure how kids would go with it tho

  • I’d suggest muesli – lots of grains, seeds and dried fruit – with either yoghurt or milk.

  • Like a lot of posters, I was going to suggest oats. But since they don’t eat them, I suggest Messy Monkeys. Get them when they are half price. The chocolate ones are great and they are made with legumes. Or make your own toasted muesli with apple sauce. So good!

  • My suggestions were going to be Weetbix or oats – maybe you can fancy the oats up with additions like dried fruit? Some mueslis can be quite healthy, too. Or maybe skip cereal and look at things like yoghurt.

  • I make homemade porridge using rolled oats with a add of puree fresh apple which my daughter loves and enjoy.

  • I agree with some of the other comments; cereal can be made more exciting and inviting by adding fruit.

  • Do they have to have cereal?
What about yoghurt with some cut up fruit and a tablespoon of honey? Or wholegrain toast with eggs?

  • Special K or Sultana Bran.

  • Toasted muslie, sultana bran, just right, uncle Toby plus, (Whole grain?) Cheerios

  • I eat Just Right and it works for me!

  • Weetbix and oats were going to be my suggestions. If they’re sick of those then homemade muesli would be a better option than any other premade cereals you’d buy at a supermarket.
Or you could help them add different fruits to the plain weetbix/oats for some variety.

  • This article explains why store bought cereal is never healthy. It’s easy and tasty to make your own

  • Cornflakes, Rice Bubbles, Bran Flakes are plain and fruit can be added for sweetness. The health food aisle will also have other cereal options.

  • Besides Weet-Bix which is really good, my kids also eat their other product called Weet-Bix Bites. It’s like mini Weet-Bix rectangles with dried berries . They also eat them as snacks too.

  • I love bran like “All Bran” , super delicious and I remember loving it when I was a kid too.
