  • I’m not familiar with bulging discs so I would turn to a GP for advice.

  • I have them too and it’s miserable. When I have flare ups I use a silicone bead hot and cold pack that has elastic straps to keep it in place while I cook or work. I also use the endogamy clove and mint recovery balm which is expensive but effective or fisiocrem available from chemists (approx $15) was recommended by my osteo and is fairly effective. Hoping you find some relief soon

  • I sometimes have lower back pain when I awake so I do gentle stretching to relieve it. If it’s persistent back pain then you would be better off speaking with my doctor.

  • swimming really helps. but make sure you check with your physio first.

  • Use belt and a hood posture

  • Sleep on a flat bed i mean something thats not very jumpy. Try to get a medicated mattress and dont lift heavy things. Check your doctor for some good tips to stronger your back muscles

  • See a specialist maybe steroid injections

  • I think it depends on what the cause is, you could ask an Osteopath who know about these things. A good healthy diet and low key exercise like yoga help too.

  • I’m not sure but if you speak with your GP and see what they say…. Stretching and aerobics and swimming may be helpful …

  • A GP should be able to refer you on for support.

  • If you know you have a bulging disc that is evident on an xray or scan you can ask your GP or a Specialist may not have been a referral for yet what treatment is recommended. Don’t just rush off to a Physio or Chiropractor without seeking proper advice even if you know of one personally. I know somebody who did that for a knee problem, had treatment that didn’t work and found out it was not the right decision… For general lower back pain I found that taking Calcium with Vitamin D helped. However it does depend what food you can digest that contains calcium. That is part of what caused my lower back problem, also side effect from special medication I had to take for another serious health problem. The medication was leeching the calcium and minerals out of my bones…and teeth also. I had been on that medication for approx 5 years and pain for about 3 years before the cause was found

  • I suffer with endometriosis and lower back and pelvic pain the best thing I did was purchase a tens machine. They work a treat.

  • I was hoping to find some answers and assistance here as I’ve been suffering lower back pain, not a bulged disc though. I did a yoga workout the other day and found that helped. I was a bit sore and struggled at the start, but as I warmed up, things improved

  • I agree with previous comments

  • I would be seeing a professional doctor or physio a bulging disc would be effecting the nerves possibly good luck

  • I agree, get a referral from your Gp to see a neurologist.

  • Medical advice and strategies should be followed for neck and back pain.
