Are there any STDs that complicate pregnancy and birth?

Don’t know too much about this but are there any STDs that change birthing (eg to protect baby from infection) or which influence pregnancy in other ways?

Yes, quite a lot do, and some even force C-sections rather than vaginal births. I would seek proper medical advice if you have an STD.

A GP or a Sexual Health Clinic would have the best answers. If you are worried, I would suggest a discussion with them.

I know there are ones that can infect the baby during birth, I’m not sure which ones are which though
