Hello!

Mr J is nearly 8 months and bf to sleep
He wakes up 1.5 to 2 hrly at night and has 3 small naps during the day
My question is have you tried an overnight stay in a sleep school or had someone come to your house and was it worth it? I know they are expensive.

  • After 12 months of no sleep, we hired a sleep consultant. Was definitely expensive, but worth every cent!

  • Update, Jack is getting better! I went to Ngala for day stay and it was covered by private insurance. bacially, letting him cry it out

  • I know all to well the lack of sleep as my LO was exactly the same. I ended up booking in a day stay at tresillian. They were great. I learned all about putting a routine in place and the importance of teaching baby to self soothe. Basically they teach the Feed, Play, Sleep routine. The first step is to break the habit of bubs being BF to sleep and introducing another type of comforter. The tressilian website has sample routines according to bubs age other helpful tips. I suggest you check it out. Everything is simple to put into place at home with a bit of support from hubby or family members without having to hire a sleep consultant. Goodluck with it all :)
