Hello!

I’m 14 weeks+3 days pregnant and yesterday noticed a small lump in my belly button. I’ve been told I’m fairly big for how far along I am so im curious to know if its something to worry about, as I didn’t think your belly button could pop that early.

  • I’d be concerned about a lump in your belly button. My second pregnancy my belly button popped at 9 weeks, but it’s a definite pop out.

  • Everybody is different but if worried I suggest speaking to your GP or obstetrician for peace of mind.

  • I was told it is fine , just keep it dry especially after you have a shower. That was all I was told to do .

  • I’ve never known of a belly button popping the esrly either. But if you are big fir how far along you are, that could explain it. You’ll know if it’s your belly button popping or something else causing the lump

  • Everyone’s different so it could well be.

  • It could be:)

  • if your tiny and don’t have much tummy fat, then it will pop fairly early

  • Is perfectly normal. While I didn’t pop that early, I name notice my belly button shape changed. But only because I have a piercing and it became very uncomfortable!

  • it is normal. it could be due to baby position

  • there are some good comments here

  • mm not to sure, i didnt think it would,

  • i wouldnt think so. but im not sure how big u are

  • I think that everyone is different, I seem to remember ‘popping’ early too, despite what people say its not actually a turkey timer!

  • Prob normal have you had an ultra sound to check if its just one bub & not two also if you have been pregnant before its natural I look 9 months preggers when I’m only 5 months each time you get pregnant your body remembers the changes & it happens faster… Good luck

  • Everyone’s is different. I wouldn’t stress at all. If you had a small tight belly to start with It would pop

  • Sounds normal. Ask your GP Just to be sure. Congratulations. :-)

  • I would mention it to your doctor or midwife on the next visit but I would stress over it. Every body and every pregnancy is so different. My sister in law popped at 12 weeks so it does happen.

  • I think some women pop really early hun. Just check with your doctor at next appointment

  • bring it to the attention to your doctor on your next visit.

  • Better to get it checked and be on the safe side, rather than sit and worry about it!
