Hello!

We are looking at heading to Thailand at the end of the year with our then 3 & 5 year olds. From your personal experience, what airlines were the best at catering to the needs of small children???? obviously, we are hoping to get there with the minimal amount of stress possible!!!

  • Singapore airlines and Japan airlines. They are awesome! But might not be suited for going to Thailand. You probably are best off just to get something direct.

  • Emirates and Etihad are both fantastic airlines to fly with children. When making a booking with any airline, be sure to request children meals. Get to the check in early and ask the staff how full the plane is. If there is space ask if there are any rows with spare seats, that way you can spread out and if the kids want to sleep they will be more comfortable.

  • Just make sure when booking they inform the airline that the seat is for a child, on long flights their is sometimes games on the tv in the headrest infront. they also suply colouring in books if they are informed ahead of time and you may also be able to request certain meals for the child. The person at the travel centre who books it should be able to inform you what is on offer from each airline for your child and prebook it all for you. also talk to your doctor before you go they might be able to help with a few ideas to calm your child while in flight if needed.

  • Great! Thanks mummies! I will look up that up, thanks xxx

  • Also; look at the food they offer and the entertainment too. All important factors in keeping the kiddies happy!

  • Most airlines are actually pretty good; look up the top ten airlines online and they list what they offer for kids.

  • All major airlines are good with kids. check your plane has individual inflight entertainment as this is a real help. and look online for the choice of movies too. qantas has a huge range of kids entertainment movies etc.
