Hello!

We recently got a high-powered blender. At first, my toddlers loved the idea of making juices, but they didn’t actually enjoy drinking them. Does anyone have any yummy blender recipe ideas specifically for young children to enjoy, which are healthy and sugar free? Thanks!

  • Milk and blending with some ice might be a nice refreshing drink.

  • I use an apple, banana, handful of grapes and handful of spinach, water and blitz all my kids love it.. Sometimes I will swap out the fruits ie with pear etc but I always use the banana for some reason they like it more when it has banana in it.
But if your kids don’t like the juice, maybe try using milk instead of water and adding frozen banana or strawberries etc and greek yoghurt and making a smoothie. Most kids love smoothies..

  • my kids love any milk based blended drink. i use strawberries, bananas, frozen berries ect. i never use any sugar and have never found it necessary when using fruit,if you want it a bit sweeter try honey.

  • Bananas – after peeling cut it open as sometimes they look perfect but when you peel them – you cut them and they are brown on the inside. They will make you sick. I found out the hard way. Green vegetables tend to be bitter in smoothies so don’t put too much in or they may object to smoothies. I don’t remember which green vegetable was the worst spinach or kale. A friend of mine made some. She put spinach in one and kale in the other. If you don’t want it too sugary use the fruits with lower content. You can find list in google “sugar in fruit” Some vegetables actually have sugar in them too. Yes I was shocked to discover that.

  • Wow, you can really go to town here. There’s so many varieties of fruits and veggies to blend into juice. Cacao powder, chia seeds etc to make it healthy. Start with fruit you know they like, and gradually build up to include different ones

  • have you tried that caccoa powder? maybe with banana?

  • Strawberry and banana with yogurt:)

  • Natural yogurt and honey and strawberries and /or bananas. .. yummo!

  • Lots of fruit and veges!!

  • Milk, yoghurt plus frozen berries and or banana work well. As does adding in quinoa flakes if your blender will handle them.

  • smoothies or ice drinks with juice or frozen bananas blitzed

  • following this article thanks :)

  • Smoothies to down really well in our family! Berries or bananas are great with yoghurt, honey and milk.

  • Yogurt, banana, milk and strawberries are yum. Put enough milk so its not too thick.

  • banana, frozen raspberries, yoghurt, milk, ice and a touch of honey is my kids favourite. Yoghurt, banana, orange juice and strawberries is yummy. Or just whizz up some watermelon and ice (can also add apple juice) for a dairy free idea.

  • try bananna and honey even you will like it
