Hello!

Hi everyone, I might have to have a c section, but unsure yet. I have heard 3 stories about c sections and all 3 were good. But I feel like that’s not enough. I want to hear more c section stories, whether good or bad, so I can prepare mentally if I have to have one. I would really appreciate if anyone could share their stories with me. Thank you

  • I had 2 C-sections, 1 emergency and 1 planned. Both sections I recovered super quick and was walking the stairs and biking at the end of the same week :)

  • I have had 2 C-sections. My first was an emergency after being in labour for 24 hours. My second was a planned C-section.

  • Thanks everyone. Ended up having a natural birth, 2 weeks ago. Bub and i are doing fine :)

  • yeah hope you don’t have to get one just for the fact that recovery takes a long time.

  • Mainly i’m after what to expect, let me give you a background: i have a 2 year old (almost) at the moment. I am expecting bub no.2 and i was told i make big babies (hum, lol?) therefore i might have to have a c section. Just so i don’t tear like i did with bub no.1 and so bub has no neurological damage from shoulder distortia (bub no.1 got stuck in birth canal and caused her to have shoulder distortia which caused her to be unable to move her right arm for the first couple of days. She had no neurological damage but that was close)
I don’t need to know the whys of the c section, but more how it made you feel afterwards, what to expect in terms of medication and aftermath.
    Thank you

  • I’m not sure what you really want to know.
I had an emergency caesar. For some reason just never even considered the fact that I could end up having one, so was hopelessly unprepared. All was well, but the thing that surprised me the most was how much I was shaking (from the meds) during the Caesar. I was also disappointed in the first couple days that due to pain etc, I was unable to pick bub up or care for him as I wanted.
Having said that, if I have another child, I would do a Caesar again, so it wasn’t all bad.

  • I have had 2 C-sections. First was emergency and second was planned. First was an epidural, second was a spinal block. Stitches first time around, staples the second. Not really sure what information you are after. Happy to answer any questions you have!
