can babies smell while inside mums tummy, like foods, coffee , tea etc.
I found this on the “what to expect” website studies of preterm infants suggest that babies are indeed capable of smelling throughout the third trimester.

What a strange question! No, how could they smell through the layers of the placenta and then your skin? I know they can hear sounds though!
