Hello!

I am new to using serum and was wondering if you can mix serum with moisturiser. Thanks.

  • I use an eye and mouth serum. I put that on, then I apply moisturiser all over my face, including over the serum. I need all the anti wrinkle treatment help I can get! I’m not getting any bad side effects from it

  • Use your serum first then wait and apply your moisturiser, serums are fantastic and l have noticed make a difference to the appearance of my skin.

  • I would use them individually and if in doubt seek advice from a beauty consultant at a cosmetic store.

  • I would just get the amount of moisturiser you are going to use and pre mix that with the serum amount and go for it.

  • I cant see why it couldn’t be, some come with serums in them these days

  • I wouldn’t physically mix the products, but using serum first, then applying moisturizer should be fine. Give it a few minutes after applying the serum before you apply the moisturizer, so that they both absorb into the skin.

  • there are some good comments here

  • i dont see why not

  • I find it’s best to put the serum on first and then follow with the moisturiser approx 10 – 15 minutes later.

  • Apply the serum first, but it is important to use a good exfoliant as well. I use all different products but all of them are salon quality. You get great results from consistent use. I don’t always moisturise after using my serum but you most definitely can ;))))))
    Cleanse, Exfoliate, Serum, Moisturise…..

  • Serum first… Give it a minute or two to soak in and then moisturiser.

  • i would definitely use the serum followed by moisturiser

  • I’d use one then the other after the first settled in. serum first then moisteriser

  • I couldn’t see a problem with mixing them as long as they are compatible

  • I dont mix but I do put the serum on first then do my hair and come
back to use moisturizer…havent had a reaction so it must be ok

  • I know you can use both a serum and a moisturiser as they do different things and work on different layers with serum reaching deeper down. I’m not sure about mixing them though. You could check with the manufacturer of the serum you use.
