Hello!

My 1.5 year old is tall, with long legs and arms. He is still small around the waist & chest though. He’s not ‘skinny’ as in underweight, but just when it comes to clothes it’s so hard to find things that fit well. Has anyone had the same problem & found any particular brands or items of clothing that fit this shape? I always buy 1-2 sizes up to get the length, using belts on pants etc but I would love to find some other options. What are some clothing recommendations for long babies?

  • I find the bonds wondersuits are always extra generous in length.

  • Adjustable waist and buy the next size up

  • How tall is your son Now?

  • Did you find clothes that fit?

  • did you find anywhere good?

  • Hope you have found some good places with clothes suitable.

  • The bonds suits with the open feet worked well for our tall girl and things like leggings

  • Or buy the next size up

  • Make to make some or get your grandparents to make some clothes

  • good advice below – hope it has helped.

  • If you can buy the adjustable waist pants, then you can buy a bigger size for the length-Target sell a bit of the adjustable waist pants.

  • I hhave that same problem with all my kids
i try and get pumpkin patch and mix the sizes up and adjustable waist

  • With the weather heating up it will make things easier for you to buy clothing for your long bub

  • Target are really good for quality as well as most of their clothes have the adjustabe waist in them my 2.5 year old has the same problem.

  • Pumpkin patch is great and so is Target. I have two little girls who are really petite and target fits them perfectly. Great quality without the price tag.

  • i’ve found pumkin patch to be good for little ones with small waists also most things now have adjustable waists

  • It’s even worse when they are out of nappies, my 3 yo dd still wears size 1 shorts, ’cause size 2 & 3 are too big around the waist!

  • Our eldest was for a long time 97th percentile for length and 50th for weight – totally get your prob! Look for adjustable waistbands from argent and big W. Also check out local handmade markets, and talk to stall holders about making longer pants for you – we still have trouble with long pants at 8 – good luck!

  • anything with adjustable waists, almost all stores Target etc will stock some. My 1 year old has the same problem.

  • I had the same problem with my first daughter. Tall and thin but not underweight. Adjustable waist jeans did the trick.
