Hello!

I love the Coles promotions they have but only problem is that you need so many points to even get one of the items has anyone bothered with this and have you ever redeemed one

  • We don’t change our shopping habits to get bonus points, but if we earn enough for a free product we get it. The new Woolies free products seem to need a lot of points.

  • We have redeemed a glassware from Coles before but the points needed to rack this up is ridiculous. Unless we were actually spending to get the glassware, it was very difficult to get to the points needed.

  • I’ve tried to collect points, but when I go to redeem they always seem to run out

  • I found some of their promos were easier to obtain by just buying it rather than spending the time trying to get points

  • They are often too expensive and hard to redeem.

  • I love the coles promotions and have so many awesome pots, knives, Kitchenaid items and containers! I check my flybuys app every morning and make sure I activate all the bonus points and it’s amazing how quickly they can add up.

  • I make the most of the bonus points, i get these posted to me and also emails that i can activate aswell. i have then gain enough points to get redeem vouchers etc

  • I always collect the points, not to get items to use, but instead to get items to sell on eBay / Gumtree. Each promotion I will usually get enough points to get a frypan or a piece of Masterchef bakeware etc, which I straight away list to sell. They usually sell pretty quickly, as there are always people who are trying to collect a whole set. So it is a good way to to make a little extra money which I usually put towards Christmas or for birthdays etc.

  • I don’t shop enough to gain enough points. I’ve only managed to collect a small pot on one occasion.

  • I agree, they take massive points. I don’t actively collect them, but if I realise I’ve accidentally got enough, I redeem them – although often they don’t have stock, either. They’re frustrating promotions.

  • I think I have only ever qualified for one of the promotions, the small glass tupperware looking container. I don’t show at coles that often so I never get enough points.

  • The Harry Potter one is pretty disappointing TBH

  • During those periods, I tends to stock up on products that I would normally purchase when they are on special to try to accumulate those points.

  • I do my weekly shop at Coles and have collected enough points to redeem quite a few items. I have been putting them aside for when my kids move out of home.

  • I always just shop like I usually would and then cash in the points I collect. If I don’t need the items, like baking dishes/knives, then I offer them to family/friends. I don’t go out of my way to collect points, or buy things for extra points, but I figure I may as well cash in the points I have and upgrade my knives etc…

  • I did end up getting enough points for one of their knives which was awesome but like you, you have to spend too much to get enough points and we don’t use Coles for our main shops. Better off buying what you need and just purchasing outright what they’re offering if you like it. Work out cheaper

  • I always get the promotions. Even if I don’t want it I offer it to my children or friends. It’s just there for whoever wants it. Both kids got a casserole in the last promotion. The frustratng thing is when they just don’t get stock of the item you really do want.

  • Last promotion I ended up getting 2 items, the one before I think I got 4 pairs of scissors

  • Yes, Coles have really good promotions for points earned which can take awhile to collect the points! I have collected a few of the MasterChef knives & scissors. And only managed to collect 1 item (the medium) casserole dish with bamboo lid from KitchenAid and by the time i saved enough points for the larger item the promotion had ended! So, just doing your regular shop won’t cut it unless you buy the bonus items for extra points.

  • I dont intentionally shop there to earn points but if I earn enough from casual shopping there I do redeem the products
