Hello!

Hi everyone,
I have tickets to a concert. I am pregnant. We will be sitting obviously and not in the crowd. Does loud noise affect your unborn baby?
Has anyone been to a concert while pregnant?

  • It will be fine. The baby may move around a bit but will be fine.

  • I don’t think a concert should be a problem in pregnancy. It would damage you before it would damage the baby.

  • Go and enjoy your night. A one off time isn’t going to do much

  • Loud noises can affect your baby – sometimes badly – but I think one oncert is unlikely to be a problem.

  • I went when I was five months pregnant and other than bubs seemed more scribe there was no problems. I actually enjoyed the time doing something for me. I also sat down.

  • A friend of mine went to a concert while she was pregnant. It had the opposite effect on her baby. Even now as a toddler she hates loud music or other noises and will tell you it is loud noise. She disappears to her room if we are using electric gear in the kitchen and goes the opposite direction to the vacuum cleaner. She takes the remote of the TV and tells her it’s loud. She doesn’t push the buttons on it herself at all.

  • If you are sitting down I think you should be fine . Just bring plenty of water and enjoy the night . One night of a good time won’t affect your health .

  • Babies can hear loud noises and will react in some way. But all noise is muffled and muted. I’m sure bub will be fine. Hope you enjoyed your concert

  • well loud noises can startle baby and you will tell when that happens. if you are sitting, it will be fine though. have fun

  • I went and saw Rod Stewart at Hope Estate (winery) while I was pregnant and it was awesome. Baby was reacting to the bass coming through the ground doing lots of stretches :)
He’s also a great sleeper and can sleep through nearly anything.

  • Totally fine

  • I haven’t but my sister did and she loved it, the positive thing she said was when the baby was born she would sleep through anything, loved loud music.
