My daughter had it and i was freaking out coz i had no idea what it was. Then the ex of hubbys uncle told me wash her hair every 2/3 days and rub her head with a drop or 2 of baby oil. Cleared within a week and never came back.

I used pure coconut oil and massage it onto the head this is what I did for my daughter when she had cradle cap. It worked for my daughter.

Cheapest: Oil on the head 5 min before bath then shampoo out. Softens the head but shampoo out stops the pores getting clogged which will make it worse.

Most convenient: Aloe gel as leave in/on conditioner.

After washing running a fine tooth comb through hair is great.

I found just using a soft hair brush to brush the dry skin off, and baby oil to be effective. Never used anything else and my daughter had a fair bit which cleared up nicely.

Bicarbonate soda you make into a paste and leave on bubs head over night and wash off in the morning or just make a paste and put it on bubs head, then leave it on while they have a bath. Wash off after 2-5 minutes. Works a treat.

I just used oil on the head and left it there all day and then brushed with a baby brush and then carried out the normal bathtime and hair was routine. I did this until it was all gone.

I tried bi carb soda made into a paste, it helped a little but didn’t get rid of it. I was then told about olive oil. I massaged it into my little ones scalp and left it overnight. Then with a fine tooth comb combed her hair in the morning. I had to do this twice but after 2 years it was finally gone

My youngest boy had cradle cap when he was about 15 months & so used some Olive oil on it. I rubbed some into the affected area, left it for about an hour & then when I bathed him that night, it all came off with some gentle scrubbing with a face cloth. Luckily he hasn’t had it since.

My health nurse suggested simply wetting the head thoroughly at bath time and combing the cradle cap out. Sounds crazy, but after a few goes it worked. You really have to comb hard though. I was advised olive oil as well, and it did work .. but I had hairy babies so didn’t use that method too often.

Best thing i found was a little olive oil rubbed in gently to the scalp.
