Hello!

I’m 12 weeks pregnant. I have always had bleeding after sex however today there was a bit more and spotting for a while longer afterwards. The same exact thing happened last week after I had a cervix swab done and my doctor sent me in for an ultrasound the next day and everything was completely fine. She said it was just because something touched my cervix which is so tender because of the pregnancy. Could this be the same thing? I’m almost positive it is but it’s so hard not to worry! Has anybody else had the same experience?

  • I did, it’s always best to go to the doctor to put your mind at ease. Mine was a subchorionic haemorrhage, but nothing to worry about in the end

  • I did also at about 8 weeks. It is always better to go to the Dr and make sure everything is ok, throughout all stages of the pregnancy.

  • I would get a check up with your GP just to be sure

  • I didn’t, but I’ve heard it is common. I’d talk to your GP if you’re concerned.

  • If you can’t stop worrying about it, go see your GP, just to put your mind at ease

  • It’s possible that you have ectropion cervix which is nothing to be concerned about, I bled all through my pregnancy, Definitely check with your gp or local hospital though

  • I did but around the 18wk mark. I was told it was normal to get a bit of tearing inside and bleed/spot during intercourse while pregnant. However, it is always best you go have a check up with the OB or gyno to make sure nothing else is wrong. It will help give you a peace of mind.

  • Check with your doctor, just to be sure.

  • Maybe even discuss further investigation with GP.

  • I would go to your doctor to get this checked it doesn’t sound normal……

  • Always best to get anything like this checked.

  • When in doubt, just have it checked to put your mind at ease

  • I had random bleeding (quite a lot) at 12 weeks.
Best to go get checked just to be safe! You never know
