My daughter usually only eats 3/4 and then puts it down so I have not had ro intervene yet.

All foods can form a choking hazard by little kids. I preferred to give mine a piece of toast above rusks

mine never did – they just sucked a little, then it got boring, and they threw it aside LOL

Never last that far with mine either, she always throw it down half way. So never had to worry about it.

I think I would do the same but as he either rubs it into something or drops it then I never have to worry 😉

No, I always panic on choking and one of mine was a guts and stuffed all sorts of food into his mouth, so I always took them away at about a third left, I actually found my kids liked YOYO biscuits better and they were not the choking hazard that I find rusks to be as they are so hard.

My baby has only been able to eat about half of a rusk at a time because she either gets bored and throws it on the ground or she swaps it for her dummy or her ‘Sophie the Giraffe’ teething toy.

Wonderful advice as usual and I agree.

The rusk never made it that far before being thrown on the ground and then having to be put in the bin.

I take it away once it’s too soggy because it’s so messy!

i never did as I was too paranoid about her choking

my kids are past rusks now but they never got more then half way before its was dropped on the ground or became yuk

Also; as with all food kids are supervised with rusks.

I let my baby chew on it untill she gets bored from it. (Never gets half way through it).
I give her arnotts kruskits which she sucks on and softens in her mouth

Only half as they look a little ‘nasty’ after a while and also the possible choking hazard.

i only ever let them have about half and take whatever they had left in their hand. good on you though for being concerned.

I let my children eat about half for the same reason, and then give them a new one if they still want more rather than risk choking on that last “chunk”.
