  • Wow, so many who do go for a yearly or more frequent check up !

  • Every 3 months for me a checkup bloods and other stuff due to my ill health

  • I have a general check up every two years, unless something else comes up.

  • No, we only visit the doctor when we feel something is wrong.

  • I probably should but I haven’t even been tested for any stuff like that the only thing I have to have done is have my vitamin D and iron checked but I’m slack even with that

  • I have my pap smear but this has been extended to 5 years now. But I’ve been making sure all my vitamin levels are okay every 6 months or so as I’m vegetarian

  • No I don’t

  • Absolutely, have my blood pressure checked , bloods checked . Also do my Breast Screen and Pap Screen. As busy as life gets you have to make time for your own health.

  • Yes if course I have the rounds checked and recently got an ultrasound

  • I like to go yearly to check my kidneys, liver, cholesterol, blood pressure, and my heart.

  • I have just turned 50 and will be having an annual check up from now on. My last couple of blood tests have shown minor anomalies so I would like to keep on top of things

  • i think it is important to get check ups regularly as recommeneded by your health care proffesional simply becuase its good to know your results and know what your health status is its important to be aware of things that may seem small and figure the problem out and try to fix it in real time.

  • No I don’t have a yearly check up. I would think those things would be checked based on my condition if and when I visit

  • On average, I go every two years.

  • No, I only go to the doctor if it’s absolutely necessary. Maybe I should be getting checks?

  • Definitely. I have an annual check up and also periodically throughout the year.

  • Mum90758 – I had a skin check called body mapping done from head to toe and I paid for the consult and check but did get money back from Medicare. The cost probably depends on the GP that specialises in skin checks. It cost about $120 and took about 1 hour – very thorough check and photos taken of suspicious spots. The photos are a reference and can be checked on future visits. I have a copy and the have an electronic copy. Hope that helps?

  • i certainly do – I consider myself generally a healthy person, but I like to have my GP give me the all clear too !!

  • No, I just go to the GP when I feel sick which is not very often.

  • I’ve never had a skin check before. Is it paid by Medicare?
