  • I would cook a few meals in bulk and freeze in portions. Just take out if freezer to defrost and re heat

  • I love using my wok with chicken,a sauce and a few veggies. So quick and easy and l find spaghetti quick and delicious!

  • Invest is some basic and easy recipe books – they are so worth the investment. The recipes are quick and easy and good for budgets. They are staple cookbooks in my household.

  • Pasta dishes are simple or even something like scrambled eggs and vegies – like a vegetarian breakfast type thing.

  • A good way to have quick and easy meals is to cook on the weekend and freeze some meals. Set a menu planner, cook away and it will help with being organised and having meals ready to eat during the week.

  • Coles supermarket has a promotion on at the moment that you receive a mini cook book if you spend $50 on a shop …this week 1-7th Feb is Easy Dinners, it is produced by Coles and Taste. com and may be helpful. Also there are wonderful recipes if you use Google : quick dinners. Woolies, taste, delicious and Jamie Oliver to name but a few.

My personal favourite quick meal is to cook up some fettuccine (then drain) add shredded BBQ chicken and a tub of Latina creamy bacon and mushroom sauce and heat. You can add some frozen peas or mixed veggies while heating to make it even more nutritious if you desire. Dinner ready in 10 mins.

  • Veggie fritters. Veggies of your choice, cheese, egg, flour and seasonings then fry. So delicious

  • I buy the Nandos Lemon and Herb Marinade and cook it with chicken and put it with rice! Its yummy, quick, filling and easy! :)

  • I always find a simple fettucine with fetta, cherry tomatoes, garlic and either chicken/chorizo/bacon etc (your choice) and a dash of lemon juice is super quick and very tasty!
