No not really. They liked to get in the kitchen, but not as helpers, they like to take charge. They do pretty well with minimal supervision from me

Mine help me sometimes especially when I’m baking.

When they’re older I’ll get my kids to help a bit more. They’re quite young at the moment and my OCD tendencies tend to get a workout when they try to help!

Yeah, my kids love to get cooking, and I love them cooking. It’s such a necessary life lesson. Just need to teach them that if you cook, there’s washing up! No one likes the washing up

My daughter loves to help in the kitchen too. She has a stool so she can reach the bench.
She also likes to help wash the dishes as well as clear the table. I know this will all change when she’s a teenager so I’m enjoying it now! lol

yeah kids love to help. it is good to teach them this skill and help them gain confidence. they are learning to look after themselves and their future family. Plus it teaches them what goes into the stuff that they eat.

My kids job is to unload the dishwasher – I say this has to be done before cooking. They like to help cook – but only the things they love eating!

I love this time in the kitchen. The help means lots of chitter chatter and bonding and mess! But I love every bit of it. Cooking is wonderful for our family!
