My mum has been diagnosed with in underactive thyroid. She is on medication and has to watch what she eats. Apparently it’s a genetic thing, but I’m not showing any signs yet, touch wood and cross fingers

I am currently on thyroid.medication i have noticed a difference in my health,mood and stress i believe it plays a big role in your mental and physical well being and i think its somthing you need to keep an eye on and try to stay healthy and stress free.

This is my question,so here’s a reply- I jumped the gun and turns out it wasn’t thyroid related, still waiting on more blood test but the first lot came back low iron and platelets.After having the really bad flu that was going around thats what had caused all the other symptoms, and taking a lot of ibuprofen while sick had lowered my platelets. So finally have answers

I suffer of Hashimoto thyroiditis, a form of self-immune hypothyroidism. If you feel so tired, you could have low thyroid hormones too. But did they check your iron levels? You could be a little anemic.
