Hello!

I had my first child in 2015 and was given a bounty bag by the hospital, it was filled with information pamphlets and product samples. Apparently you could also get one after pregnancy but I never got one.

Do they still give these bags out, a lot of things have changed since my last pregnancy and I think one of these bags could help

  • I received a bag at my first hospital appointment. It came with lots of pamphlets, 1 nappy sample, a stretch mark cream sample, nappy rash sample and some calcium vitamin pills. It wasn’t super exciting!

  • Yep the hosp gives it to you and you can also go and get some from the pharmacies pre or post birth too.

  • The bounty website should have a list of places where you can get them. But i found nearly all samples in my bag last year were expired by up to 2 years!

  • Hi there, I had my boy in 2021 and received a Bounty bag. It was in the hospital room when I arrived.

  • Most jadin chemists have them you just have to ask.. I’ve found that the contents haven’t changed in the last few years and not many samples mostly paper with information on different products

  • I feel ripped off! I didn’t know this was a thing back in 2019 when I had my bebe and I got nothing from the hospital, in fact I was told to bring everything to hospital as nothing would be provided

  • I got a Bounty Bag recently and they’re available in a lot of pharmacies like Pharmacy 4 Less, Priceline, etc. Baobags are similar but only available in some private clinics like private hospitals, Sydney ultrasound for women, or OBs. They’re great for samples.

  • Yes! They are great and we’ve used most of it

  • NSW I got bounty bag in 2012 with my first at a pharmacy for free and with the second 2014 and third-fourth 2022 I hat to go online for one I don’t get one it was a bit pricey.

  • Yes they do but sometimes you have to ask. NSW also do a pack with lots of cool stuff.

  • I got one from a selected pharmacy last year when I had my daughter

  • Depends what state you live in. I gave birth in the public system in Vic and we got a great bag of goodies. Make sure you ask before you leave hospital though, 2 girls in my mothers group didn’t get one! You only get one for your first baby though.

  • Yep we get a nappy bag full of goodies!

  • I had my baby is April and if you’re a NSW resident you get a baby welcome bag with lots of great stuff. The bag itself is a nappy bag and it comes filled with a play mat, change Matt, wipes, books etc. I think Victoria has something similar not sure about the other states.

  • Your midwife should normally give you one, and I know the hospital gives you one from the vic government these days,.

  • My OB gave me one on first appointment ☺️

  • I remember those! I got the first, and a second (by going to Target) but the third never ever turned up.

  • I’m not sure if they offer them anymore. My son was born in 2009, I did get a bounty bag but it didn’t really have anything useful in it. Vouchers to things, and information really. They made it sound like you would be getting something exciting – so personally was disappointing to me at the time.

  • Yes I got one of these bags provided by NSW Health. It had lots of products to trial along with a baby sleep bag, books, playmat and thermometer.

  • Last I saw, you can get them from chemists.
