HELL YES! during the covid period I have made it my goal to support more small businesses. Especially home made clothing/jewellery etc

I do shop local whenever I can and I truly admire people who take the chance to start up a small business.

Unfortunately a lot of small local businesses have closed, partly big businesses are open longer hours and partly because some small businesses charge close to double for exactly the same branded products. Some just can’t afford to pay so much extra – including for food – especially when it’s the same brand, same packaging and there is a difference in price of up to $1.00 – sometimes even more. If I can get an item for $2.00 and it is $3.25 in a small business I am not going to pay that much extra on just one item.

I love buying handmade! Obviously it’s more expensive than the major retailers but the items are unique and each piece is made with love and great quality as opposed to factory production. I have Giggles & Bubbles on FB and find that my most busiest time is the lead up to Christmas for our reversible superhero capes. I appreciate everyone that buys local!!

I tend to shop based on locality, so I will support small business as well as larger retailers if they are conveniently located.

Not really – I find it cheaper to go to major retailers

We do our best to support local business’s and friends and family that have online business, its good to try and be local

I only buy my kids clothing from Australian small businesses. We find a lot of the stores through Facebook and instagram.,

One thing that I love is shopping with home business like candles, kids products etc. Just recently brought a baby present from my scentsy consultant and its great. I don’t want to help big shops that don’t really care for your business. As im also an independent consultant for nutrimetics and buy all my cleaning, skin care, makeup, hair, baby, hair products great don’t need to go to shops. Get bread from bakery and vegie/fruit from market all good paying it forward. Love My products and love to be able to help people find what they need especially people suffering with an illness and need something to make them feel great. Which is why I got into it in the first place.

Aussie owned and Aussie made! Living in a rural community, I think it is more important than ever to support local businesses. Sorry, don’t have my own business, but it’ll be interesting to know how many other MoM’s do have their own.

I actively support Oz small and big business and have developed good relationships with local small business folks! We always buy from them

I look out for small businesses too.

Yes, I try and support local as much as I can. I insist on buying Australian when grocery shopping too
