Hello!

Am I the only one or do others like stocking up for when you are short on cash? When I’m shopping and I can afford it I might buy something extra like toilet paper, tissues, long life milk, cleaning products, canned food etc.

  • Oh Yes you have to these days when anything that we love to eat and its on special I always stock up

  • Yes! I always like to stock up when things are half price. Obviously only if I know they will last and be used. I use online shopping so I can always see the online specials and I always go through the half price items before I do my regular shop.

  • I buy extra items when they are half price or on a good sale. Especially items we use alot. I find this saves money and gives us a little bit of extra food floating around if we need it

  • Yep, I do when I can. Sometimes I end up with a fair bit of one product, but I know it will get used eventually, so it doesn’t stress me too much

  • When I find something on special I tend to buy extra.

  • Yes I stock up I always have extra uht milk sugar coffee toilet paper and bread in the freezer and if something regular is on super sale will grab some extras.

  • Yep! When things are on special I’ll buy extra. I also have been to Costco a couple of times and stocked up on laundry wash, dishwasher liquid, toilet paper, tinned tomatoes and many other things. I went to my cupboard this morning and counted 10 boxes of tissues…i don’t think I’ll need to buy any more for a while

  • I Can’t help myself when it comes to stocking up on cleaning products, toilet paper, deoderants & shower gels etc. I love a bargain and I like to be organised like that. I sometimes get a bit jealous of those american households you see that have a basement with endless shelf space for all of their extras!

  • I shop the specials each week so when something I use is on special I usually stock up while it is cheap. Frozen food, toiletries, cleaning products, packet foods like pasta, noodles, canned and bottled foods and long life milk or juice. When I have unexpected bills arrive I have enough put away to survive on a lean shopping week and menu plan with my freezer meat and pantry stash and only have to get fresh veg, bread and milk. Saves me heaps in the long run and means I don’t pay full price on a lot of the products I use!

  • Mainly toilet paper ( which gets ridiculously used up quick ) and canned foods . I think any non-perishables foods that you use a lot is worth prebuying . Items such as vegies and dairy is not worth buying too much as it goes off quickly , but always on a lookout for specials. A friend of mine has 3 cats and she has to stick up the cat food and litter which she says are quite dear .

  • Yes, I stock up on things that are not perishable like toilet paper, soap, shampoo, conditioner, tins of food, laundry supplies etc.

  • I tend to look out for pantry staples that are on sale and don’t perish. We also have a chest freezer so when meat is discounted I buy it and pop it in the freezer for later.

  • yeah it is a good idea if you have the spare money and space.

  • Yeah washing powder is a good one, also I like to stock up on shampoo and conditioner, soap etc. as well.

  • Yep I usually try and grab a few extras

  • I do the same! When non perishables that I use regularly come on special I grab a few and store them away in the cupboard

  • Sure do. There are certain products that I will only buy when on special.

  • there are certain products I will only buy if they are on a really good special – and when they are I would usually buy a few. Other than that I try to buy bulk particularly for things like toilet paper, washing powder etc

  • It makes sense to buy more when there is a good sale on items we use every week!

  • The basic items are toilet rolls, washing powder, cleaning products, frozen items, tinned items and some little luxuries too.
