I have one, and have for about 6 years. I love it- and now I have a baby I use it even more (every puree). Before bubs it was great for soups, sorbets, mash, steamed veg. It is pricey, but if you don’t have many other appliances it is a great addition!
I have one and I find I use it with less regularity that I would like, but having said that some days I use it all day for loads of things. It is excellent for those that have allergies and who want to make everything from scratch.
I found also that if your a meat and 3 veg kinda of family it is a little bit tricker to use it make dinners – I have just stated using it to make rice, and steam vegies and chicken all on the one machine – which is handy and you don’t have to stir things by hand and stand at the stove while making things like white sauce or custard.
Highly recommend doing research and seeing if you can make it cook/prep the meals and things that you would eat before committing the $$
Definitely have a demo though – and see one put through their paces but remember you can use it to make anything (within reason!) – there are plenty of owners who have blogs or facebook groups where their share their tried and tested recipes and there is always a new yummy recipe being shared to try
Too expensive for me too but everyone who has one seems to love it. Not sure how safe they are now that there a number of cases of burns caused by a Thermomix that have had media attention.
