Great question. I’m always on the look out for a good double pram or stroller.

I have the baby jogger city select and I love it. The two seats sit one behind the other however the back seat is the higher one so each child still has a clear view. Also as the seats detach you can easily change the directions they are facing

Get them to demo how they fold up in the store and also ask to check if it fits in the boot of your car too

I have the bugaboo donkey & I love it! It’s not very small but it’s so easy to use!

The Baby Jogger City Select is great.

I made the mistake of buying a double stroller the one that the child sits behind the other not side by side.I had a cesarian and I wasn’t healing as the stroller was so heavy to push .So go for a side by side one and make sure you test it in the shop to be sure it won’t be to heavy. We sold our stroller and bought one that was more managable which lasted for years.

I don’t have a double stroller but have a double pram as I have twins and that is going to be my double stroller. Its expensive but I think worth every bit of it. Its a City Select Pram with extra seat to make it into a double pram

Te bugaboo donkey is expensive but well worth the money.

Deals Direct have twin strollers for about $200.00 but still find that a bit expensive

I have twins and we bought a cheap double stroller from one of the big department stores (Big W or Kmart I think) and it was great. easy to fold down.

I know so many people that bought a double stroller just to find it annoying and sell it again. I have seen some good looking light ones on Deals Direct though.

I have a Phil & Ted with the 2nd seat behind and I HATE it. It was basically the only thing around when I bought it (for one child, planning on a 2nd). I dislike the tipping factor, steering and when the kids were 2 and 3 they fought over who had to sit in the back. I look at the City Select with envy now, but can’t justify it with a bigger gap between number 2 and 3!
