I didn’t need to, but even if I did, I probably would wait till after the birth just to be on the safe side.

I personally didn’t do it but was told by my OB that it was fine to do so if you wish.

Like anything – moderation is the key and it’s a personal choice – at the end of the day the dye isn’t on your head that long but anything on the skin could be absorbed into the blood stream and the baby. I’d suggest the risks are low as there hasn’t been any information to state otherwise

I would avoid the harsh colours and peroxides. I think getting it done at the hairdresser is better than DIY as they wash it in their special sink so you don’t have the colour running down your body in the shower etc. Also it might be one of the last opportunities for a while to be pampered at the hairdresser!!!

I think the issues with doing so while pregnant lies with bleach but I don’t think there is a problem with just colouring in general.

I would recommend not to! My hair started falling out in chunks and it wa shard to tell if it was from the hair dye or pregnancy

It is the first Tri – mester that is the time … you can not dye your hair after that is fine
