Hello!

Hi I’m expecting twins and am very stressed what sort of pram to get. Can I please have some pros and cons of both side by side and tandem? My daughter will be going to school soon so wanting something that will get me inside her classroom door.

  • I have a baby jogger pram with two seats you can position different ways it’s great! It’s not a side by side one though but it fits easily through doors and is easy to put in the car

  • Strider, you can have the option to have 2 seats or 2 capsules but it is more compact. Don’t get a side by side pram as most shops don’t accomodate these and you will struggle to shop and have an outing

  • I also had to get a twin pram, not that I had twins, but boys born 16mths apart!i invested in a mclarens, side by side twin pram, back in the 80.s!it looked great wiyh reclining seats, but found when I went shopping,i took up all the aisles, the ones I could get thru.if I were in the same situation today,i would opt for a tandam twin pram, for that very reason,my boys were comfy in there pram, all those yre ago,but comforte for mum is a priority too.good luck with it all.

  • what did you get? :)

  • I am one of these people that hassles shop staff for information… so that is what I normally advise :)

  • What did you end up getting?

  • What did you end up buying?

  • What have you decided to get?

  • I have seen a lot use the twin jogger style prams.

  • I used a baby jogger city mini. Bit heavy , but lasted my twins until 4years old.

  • City Select is the pram I use for my twins and would recommend to anyone but its a bit on the expensive side but well worth it

  • Best thing to do is to go into a shop and test them out, get the shop assistant to give you a demonstration on how they fold up/ unfold, etc. Specialty baby shops are usually very helpful with this, otherwise have a play around with the prams on display at target and big W

  • Give target a go I reckon

  • Try big w and target

  • A friend of mine with Twins loves her Bugaboo Donkey, but for a more affordable option ive heard fantastic things about the Baby joggers, theyre compact enough to fit most places and easy to fold etc. though they are a side by side.

  • I dot like the side by side as try are hard to turn and don’t fit so many places

  • really depends on what you need it for , what you need it to do . id write a list of the things you want in a pram then use it a a checklist when you go shopping :)

  • Side by side then you get no arguments later on about who get to be in the front with the view. However do check the width as some are to wide for standard doorways :)

  • I haven’t got twins but I have the strider compact and its awesome!
