Bio oil was recommended to me for stretch marks and scars. Vitamin e creams are also meant to help. There may be serums that can help.

Mine faded over the years. I’ve never done something special to help it fade. Just give it time.

I had an a long incision when my appendics removed in 1983. My Mum wasn’t told about anything that would fade it. It is still pink. Occasionally it still gets itchy, even after all these years.
I noticed on one comment that somebody mentioned Arnica. Arnica is good used on bruises. It worked well on my face when I fell and fractured my nose.

I’m interested to see the responses as my c-section scar is also nearly 2 years old and it’s still pretty red/ pink.

I tend to get keyloid scaring, but my c-section didn’t do this. I did have a ung to put on a BCC scar on my face called Dermatix, worked very well.

I believe rosehip oil is good for fading scars

I have had 2 c-sections. The last one in 2012. My scar is fading. Once I felt comfortable I used Bio Oil and Vitamin E oil on it

Rosehip oil is meant to be really good for stretch marks and scars.

Rosehip Oil works a treat on softening scars. There’s also a product called Hiruscar which is absolutely amazing, and it’s not prohibitively expensive. Hiruscar moisturizes, softens and smooths scars, and it’s even helped with a skin cancer/radiotherapy scar I’ve got that’s nearly 40 years old.

there are some good creams around that help with scaring

maybe some butter cream or whatever it’s called.

No real remedies here, other than keeping the area clean and dry, and wearing pants/underwear that do not sit on the scar, which will just irritate it and make it redder.

Mine was very bad as well at 2 years as well but then I discovered that Bio-Oil stuff and it does really work.
It’s also not very expensive which is another bonus.
