  • I lived up in the mountains when my babies were born and Winter was absolutely freezing. I would bring the baby into bed with me where it was warm and feed them whilst propped up with pillows. It allowed me to rest more and my babies were all perfectly safe and nourished. It was inevitable that at times I fell asleep in the process.
People would often say that you shouldn’t do that in case you fall asleep and roll on top of them but I think your natural instincts would prevent that. I could never see the sense in sitting out in the cold in the middle of the night and then not being able to get back to sleep as you are then fully awake.

  • I admit I nodded off for a split second on tired occasions. I didn’t quite fall into a sleep but its like closing your eyes when travelling you quickly open your eyes and there you are.
