Hello!

Hello fellow MoMs, We are travelling to Melbourne for 3 days in October (after school holidays). I’ve got a couple things on my list but was wondering if I could get ideas for kid friendly things to do – ages 2 to 10? What is a MUST DO in your book?
Thanks !!

  • The Royal Botanic Gardens are a great place to visit. Beautiful gardens surround you and the kids can work off some excess energy

  • There are so many free parks with unique play equipment and you cant go past the free city circle trams

  • Go to the zoo or the aquarium, also there is so much to see just by going for a walk Enjoy!

  • At that age scienceworks and the zoo where my boys faves

  • Melbourne zoo, healsville sanctury ,puffing billy (steam train leaves from Belgrave station) kids can hang there legs out the train lots of fun. Melbourne aquarime, old Melbourne jail, the Melbourne musem, lots to do on the great ocean rd geelong is beautiful. have fun

  • Yeah, the hop on and offbus is great, there are the aquarium, zoos and maybe luna park at st kilda. You could take thrm to the beach :)

  • If you’re able to get to the Penguin Parade at Philip Island it is definitely worth the trip. You’ll really need to rug up though as its pretty cold waiting for the little penguins. The kids would absolutely love it.

  • I never think there’s that much to do in Melbourne at all. We’ve lived there – Werribee Mansion, the Old Melbourne Jail, the zoo but the first two wouldn’t be suitable for small children. Don’t forget the free bus tour in the city, hop on and off.

  • The aquarium is on my list for december
