Find ways to ease the load e.g. have a Kris Kringle with the family so that you only have to buy one gift. Have guests bring a plate to reduce how much you have to cook and prepare.
Have a plan I start my gift list in January an excel spreadsheet if who I’m shopping for and ideas of what to get with set spending limits then through the year when I buy things I mark them off the list . Also don’t try to many complicated things easy meals you can prep ahead are a lifesaver grazing plates salads boneless marinated chickens are my go to now hot cold easy. Also I pay off grocery gift cards through the year to help me with the xmas expenses.
I personally start Christmas shopping mid year, just when I see something I pick it up and store it. I have a list going and cross that person off, makes it easier. I also would suggest (not that I tend to do it because I am not sure where we will be) but order castle hampers or something similar that way your paying off a bulk lot of groceries that get delivered just before Christmas. I am not fully sure why you get stressed (but it definitely is more stressful).
You pretty much just need to try and get things done before or set up plans to ease this time of year. Good luck
