  • Flying a kite on a windy day is lots of fun.


  • We play hide and seek, chasey and pull out the toy cars and have little family races :)


  • I actually saw a family playing what’s the time mr. Wolf the other day in the park and was thinking what an awesome, simple game to play with the whole family! So there’s my answer :)


  • Hide and seek is always a good game to play outside!

  • Flying kites is a great activity for the whole family.
    Start with a picnic and then fly your kites to burn up some energy.
    Ball games, hide and seek (in a controlled area) and scavenger hunts- made to suit age ability are also great fun for all ages.


  • My boys loved cricket as kids & now their kids show the same interest. We are lucky to have an oval opposite us so we often take the grandkids over there to play too.


  • Sand play is wonderful and great for fine motor skills.


  • Trying to get the big age gap working is hard.


  • cricket is always the fall back game for us and everyone can play (modified for each age). Have great memories of backyard cricket matches with nana and all my cousins as a children and love that we still play with my parents and my children.


  • lawn bowls is great and everyone can play


  • You might want to try geocaching. It’s like a treasure hunt. You can download free apps and you have to find the cache.


  • Hide and seek, Tag, Explorers, football, depends what we have available and where we are.


  • Chasey, Hide and Seek, Duck Duck Goose, kicking a ball around.


  • Get a giant bubble machine. Great fun for kids.


  • Treasure hunts in the garden. Family basketball, tennis, soccer.


  • Cricket or mini golf. We also play crochet and the kids love it,


  • Geocaching!!


  • Backyard cricket, chasing, hide and seek. My girls just love being outside so it doesn’t take much. We sometimes have picnics outside too. That brings everyone together.
