Hello!

I have 3 beautiful girls aged 9, 7 and 3 and am pretty sure I won’t be having anymore kids but I still don’t have that “I’m done” feeling. I’ve sold a lot of the girls stuff and know we’d need a new house and car (house is tiny as it is) but still have that “well maybe one day” feeling.
Anyone else?

  • When you still have that “maybe one day feeling” you may not be totally done yet…give it time

  • I never did. I sometimes wonder how we would have done with a third child because the two we have turned out really well, done us proud. Hubby did mention a third when I was in my early 40s, other two were late teens by then, basically looking after themselves. So I wasn’t keen

  • I know a friend of mine was tossing whether to have a third child and she was more concerned about the financial side too . Also she really wanted a girl and I said to her , think whether you want to have more children and not the sex of the baby and that would make your decision a bit more easier . I knew I only wanted two only because I had a difficult second birth and also none of family members could help in any way and also hub worked very long hours so I was very exhausted so to speak . Perhaps talk to your partner about it and also a family counsellor if you are really torn . Good luck

  • I would love to have many more kids but at 35 my chances are slim

  • Yes, I have 2 girls both under 2. It’s crazy at times and I have no idea what to do. I’m 35. I thought that feeling would just exists one day but it hasn’t come yet. Likewise small house and car. I guess sometimes in life these decisions are made for us – my sister never fell with her third

  • i think that is just a maternal instinct but in reality, i know i am satisfied with my lot

  • I get clucky ALL the time…. but I am done :( I maybe would have liked another 1

  • I totally still feel that way with two boys (10 and 13) and my husband has had the “snip”. I was never sure but a medical situation makes it not possible but I still have the “what if” thoughts

  • My friend decided one was enough for her whereas some people I’ve met have very clear ideas how how many children they want ie min 4 or 5. Maybe talk to your partner?

  • that is quite normal and who knows what the future holds!

  • It’s funny how watch shows with little babies or see newborn pictures and the clucky feeling is overwhelming. But then the last 2 days I’ve had a stomach bug and know there is no way I could ever go through morning sickness again lol

  • i have!!! but over it now. i am definately done! I have 3 kids living here, 5 & 8 and my 16 year old step daughter. since my sd moved in am definately done! but i am 39 and feel its time for me to start doing more for me. at the end of the day go with what you feel.
