Hello!

Have any mums had breast augmentation surgery? After having children and breastfeeding all if them (not sure if it’s related) I’ve found that my breast have become totally saggy and almost non existent. I’ve always been small around that region but with every pregnancy I would go from my typical b cup to about a d cup then once I loose the baby weight they shrink but since the last pregnancy I’m left with saggy skin. I’m really self conscious and although padded bras have been my go to I’m thinking about getting implants. I don’t want Pamela Anderson style boobs but something that suits my form. Any advise would be helpful and please I don’t want judgement just your experience or thoughts. X

  • I had a breast augmentation 9 years ago, I was an A cup and went to a D cup. I had my first baby in December and was breast feeding for about a month, since then I’m lucky that they still look the same. I’ve never had an issue with them, have never regretted it, it helped so much with my confidence!

  • I after I had twins, I need a tummy tuck as the girls had destroyed my core muscle as was having a lot of pain, that I was unable to run and walking was limited to about 3 km per day. So at the same time I had a boob lift as I feed the girls for 2 years, I did not want to have implants as I still wanted to be natural. I love them they are the best they ever looked, I now don’t get the breast on my stomach at night so now don’t have to sleep with a sport top on. You don’t need to have implants be happy with what God gave you, but no harm in helping them. It is not that expensive only about $4k, and if they are approve by the medical board, you can get some of it covered by Medicare. I would never go overseas for this, stay at home where you are covered. Don’t do this to impress anyone else but yourself. Good luck.

  • No but after breastfeeding for so long I wish i could afford it. Maybe go on forums on facebook and see peoples real life experiences?

  • If that is what you want, go for it. Just do your research first and good luck

  • I haven’t had one myself, but know a woman who was in a similar situation to you. She has gone back for her third surgery in 3 years. (and has given birth to one more child also in that time). She says she has been happy, but I’m not sure that is all true considering the amount of work done in such a short time. She found they sagged again very quickly and felt very self concious about it. You’re looking at a good $10,000 each time plus 6 weeks out of action.

  • Your body and your choice, make sure you do a lot of research and get many professional opinions and reviews.

  • BEFORE YOU GO TO SUCH EXTREME MEASURES TO GET YOUR BODY BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS BEFORE KIDS I WOULD LIKE TOJ UST SUGGEST THAT YOU ARE DONE WITH ANY MORE KIDS… If so go for it your have nothing to loose.. but if it is a possability hold off to you are done with kids….

  • Ive got 3 friends who were in your situation. 1 friend inparticular had also lost quite a bit of weight so had a ‘mummy makeover’ (lift, implants and tummy tuck).
I had a lot of discussions with them. Depending on how much excess skin you may need a lift, not just implants.
Try approaching somewhere like Cosmeditour which are Australia based with Gold Coast and Sydney practices. You can send them photos and the surgeon reply with their recommendation as to lift and/or implants, round or teardrop and sizing. The surgeons there are also FRACS which means they have performed a minimum of 1000 breast augmentations. 2 friends used this place and rave about it. Apparently the first week you can be in a lot of pain so need help around the house, even just for sitting up!
Good luck with whatever you choose to do. You o ly live once and if this will make you happy and give you confidence….go for it!

  • I am looking forward to stopping breastfeeding so I can also have some work done to my breasts… but the opposite; I need a reduction! Good luck with whatever you decide to do!

  • I wonder how long since you stopped breastfeeding? I think it takes time to get back to normal. Creams can help saggy skin, but you have to be patient. I’ve heard too many horror stories of people who regretted surgery to be interested in it myself. In fact I quite enjoy being a bit lighter and am able to exercise better and it is generally more comfortable all round…so not too bothered with surgery myself. I don’t think most people notice either, perhaps sometimes in a wet swimming costume, but I’d rather be comfortable and myself than worry too much about what “friends” (or total strangers) MIGHT be thinking (and chances are they really don’t care).

  • I just had my right breast lifted to match the implant inserted in my left breast following a mastectomy. My nipple no longer faces south & my breast is no longer saggy. Its perky & full again. I wanted to get an implant into the right breast too & go bigger but my surgeon talked me out of it. Perhaps a mastoplexy is all you need instead of an implant which really only last 10 years.

  • I haven’t had any work done, I sometimes think it would be nice to get this lifted and something else tightened, haven’t got the money sadly. I know of a woman who had a breast reduction, only because she was enormous, and it all went well

  • I totally understand you. I had implants before I had my kids, it was one of the best things I have done. It gave me a lot of confidence. After having two kids my breasts are saggy so big they got with milk. I am planning taking the excess skin out and changing the implants. I can’t wait to to this next year.
When I first had the implants done I didn’t want too big, I asked the doctor to put a size to look very natural. It was just beautiful!
Good luck with your surgery :)
