Hello!

I did this for my 2nd, 3rd and 4th bubs. I was not able to breast feed my 1st bub because I did not have any milk! It was discovered after my 2nd bub that my milk did not come in until day 10. I breast fed each bub for longer each time. The last one was breast fed for 18 months! With breast to cup there is no worries about colic and no sterilizing bottles etc! So much easier if you can do it. Have you tried it?

  • Well done you ! Just out of curiousity; were you not able to feed your bubs straight from your breast ? you write that It was discovered after your 2nd bub that my milk did not come in until day 10 , but how was that the reason the use this feeding method ? was it not hard to fully drain your breast ?

  • I tried it but it wasn’t for me. I just couldn’t get it right

  • I never had success doing this. Good luck

  • No, I’ve never heard of it. I went from breast to bottle to cup. But I had no problems doing it this way. My 2 were around the 8 month mark when I stopped the boob, then a bit over 12 months for the cup.

  • yeah i thought that is what most people did lol

  • I am glad it worked for you mom 35162! It is so much easier I think!

  • Yes it worked for my third child we went staight to a cup with a lid with a straw but we did it slowly one feed dropped at a time and replaced with a cup, it helped me slow the milk production and stopped the boobs exploding so much.
With my first two kids i went to a bottle it was a big mistake, It took forever for them to give up it took forever.
