Hello!

Pampering time is expensive when you treat yourself with fake nails. I’ve watched our nail technician so I’ve got a good idea on how to do them. What’s the best but cheapest brand. Any special tips. How do you keep them from chipping?

  • I’ve never attempted to do my nails because they wouldn’t last long with the amount of housework to do.

  • No l don’t do fake nails,l like natural instead!

  • I just checked my daughters cupboard to check the brand but she’s thrown the box out and has the nails in a plastic dish, so I can’t help with the name of the brand. I had no idea where to start, so I went to our local chemist and bought the cheapest box they had, but a quality nail colour as well. It worked just fine. I didn’t like them because I’m always in the garden anyway, but my daughter loved them and always gets me to do her nails for special events. If you’ve got the basic idea from your nail technician, you’re 2 steps ahead of me already, well done and I hope you have fun trying them yourself.

  • I tried and failed – I have success with a NADS pot of wax though – the one for bikini areas that you pull off (no strips). It is quick, easy and painless. I use under arms and on legs too x

  • well we have a place that you can get them done for $20

  • Manicare! I use any of the manicare glue on range. Stick ons last all of ten minutes. Always start with your bad hand (I do my right hand first, because i have less control with my left and nails only make it harder). soak your hands for a few minutes in warm water, it helps the glue stick for longer. push back your cuticals and make sure the nails all fir, file if you need to. Apply glue to the bottom half of the pink part of the fake nail and slide it gently down. this will minimize the amount of glue that could leak. press and hold each one. it takes a while but is so worth it. If you can grow your nails quite well, Sally Hansen nail stickers are even better, I swear by them :)
