Hello!

I’m wondering who else has used the Home Pregnancy Test (First Response), did you get a negative result after being overdue for your period, but ended up being pregnant?
My sister told me that I’m not pregnant because Home Pregnancy Tests are really accurate, but I’m now 3 days late and I’m usually on time.

  • I’ve always just used home pregnancy tests with accurate result

  • It happened to me do do 5 a First Response tests and had negative than I had a blood test and it was positive. I couldn’t believe 5 tests wrong! Than my second pregnancy I had again the First Response Test on the day I was supposed to have my period and it was positive, and it was right this time.
    Good luck!

  • you should wait another couple of days and try again…this happened to me in my second pregnancy and I have always had a 28 day cycle

  • Accurate for me but I followed up immediately by confirming it at the Doctors.

  • my friend had this happen – she went and got a blood test and found out she was pregnant. So yes there is a chance you are pregnant – you can either get a test now or wait a bit longer as you may just be a few days late – this can be due to sickness, stress or a number of perfectly normal reasons.

  • I have 2 girls and both times i did the test a few days before i was due.. positives…. Depends on the test also, some are more sensitive than others but give it a few days and retest. good luck

  • I found them great but I did leave it a bit longer

  • Hi, I used first response for my pregnancy. I didn’t get a negative reading and was pregnant. If you are only 3 days late I would wait until you’re at least a week late and retest

  • mine was negative initially- i think it turned positive after 1/2 weeks

  • I agree with the first answer, its too early…
Happened to me.. if in doubt, remember some pills affect the embyro… so be careful… might be worth stopping and using other means of protection until you are sure.

  • home tests have always been accurate for me; there is a cost effective one that chemists sometimes sell in a brown paper bag less expensive and accurate. good luck darl always a bit of a scary time

  • I’d test again in a few days, I got a negative at the doctor and at home and a then few days later a positive at home.

  • I’ve always had accurate results from First Response kits. 3 days may be too early to read, most GP’s wont test until your at least 7 days late in my local area.

  • I think you are testing too early. Your HCG levels need to be at a certain concentration even though First Response claims to detect practically from conception-marketing ploy. Wait 7 days & retest with morning urine sample.
