Hello!

My mum’s hair is thinning to the point of nearly needing a wig, does anyone have any suggestions or products they know that can stop her hair thinning?

  • I’ve been using JS Health vitamins and they have a few products she could try including one for hair and energy. check out their Instagram and website Lots of before and after pics of people who have used with good results. Best wishes

  • I’d talk to your GP. Without knowing too much about you it could be anything really. Potentially brushing too much, or the shampoo/conditioner you use, or diet, or you’re in the post partum hair loss stage. Only a GP will know how to approach this best.

That said, since changing my hair washing to plant based bars my hair has never been stronger and thicker.

  • Maybe talk to a nutritionist about whether a change in diet would help.

  • Have you tried a silica supplement? Biocuticals has a great liquid one.

  • I have been suffering from thinning hair for years now & I have found that using natural hair products without all the harsh chemicals was the answer for me. Since cutting out shampoos that contain SLS, SLES, Sodium Chloride, Synthetic Fragrances, Silicone or Parabens (which are all known to cause hair loss) my hair is getting thicker everyday. I have recently made the switch to bar shampoos too which is giving me even better results. I have also stopped dying my hair because of the amount of hair loss I was having every time I did.

With all that said, your mother could have a hormonal imbalance that is the cause. She can get her GP to run some tests to identify any issues that may be causing hair loss.
