A simple mouse trap with peanut butter should do the trick. No chemicals but works fast.

I don’t have any natural suggestions, but I use ratsak. I put it under the house, in the roof and on shelves in the shed. This keeps the kids and our pets out if it but keeps the rodents under control

There are these awesome new mouse trap that are totally safe around kids & pets. They’re like a little deadly cubby house!

Or if you can/want, get a cat. I’m not saying buy a cat but see if you can borrow a friends.

I read somewhere that spraying peppermint oil around will help. Mouse traps?

You can get mouse/rat traps that don’t have the scary snap function. It’s like a plastic box that you lure them into. Those snap traps have always scared me!

Lure them into a tall container by making it easy to access bug with no exit- like cardboard steps into a bin

You may laugh at this but it’s the best solution… Buy/get a cat if u can good luck

They will squeeze through the tiniest hole. We had them get into the kitchen via a little hole in the cornice of the ceiling —into a cupboard.

Mouse traps. I had a mice infestation a few years back, and they were living behind a wood pile next to the house. I had over 15 mice.

Block up holes in interior and exterior walls. Start with the interior walls; it’s best to leave a way out for the mice. They may leave your home or apartment for easier pickings elsewhere. If trapped within the walls they may chew new holes.
If there is nothing to eat, they will be less likely to stay, so ensure all food is stored properly in airtight containers and in places that are safe from mouse attack.
Put your trash cans as far away as possible from your home. Mice smell it and get attracted to your house.
Try peppermint oil. Peppermint oil is a natural deterrent. The smell is simply too intense for rodents and they will not try to go near it. It also helps to mask the scent of any tasty morsels that have been missed when cleaning. You can get peppermint oil in most health food stores and even some major grocery stores. Place a drop or two on a cotton ball. Place the cotton balls in areas where mice are likely to enter your house, by doorways or heat vents, etc. Another helpful deterrent is to grow peppermint plants near the entryways. You can use the mint in cooking as well as it serving a deterrent purpose.

If you want to go the friendly way we had our grandfather make traps where the mice fall into a cage that has nibbles in it for them, the only problem is finding somewhere far enough away to realese them. or the unfriendly way we used is there is some packets you can by which come in a small pouch that they take back to thier nests and all feed on them, the only problem with that is if its in the roof waiting for the bad smell to hit so you can ind the bodies and disopose of them, Or a rat trap.There are also devices you can plug in which are suppose to send them running away from it.

We just got some mouse traps, put a bit of peanut butter on it, works great, if you are worried about the kids getting it, put behind the fridge or somewhere they can reach

We recently had some mice and bought some traps made by Mortein. They are round black traps that you put done cheese or peanut butter in and the mouse goes in the whole and the door snaps shut. Pit dies in the and you simply throw the whole thing away. No mess and no fuss. I don’t want to have to deal with a dead mouse so these are great.

Would you consider getting a pet cat? That would definitely get rid of your problem.

There are a variety of traps available. There are ones where you can trap and release them; the trap shuts like a little cage or standard traps. Mice love peanut butter and it works better than cheese!

I did not know that they were attracted to peanut butter!

There’s some trap like a tube where they go in but can’t come out. I think you then might have to submerge the unit but not sure. We had some mice in our roof and the pest man put something in the roof so if they ate it they’d have to leave to get water instead of dying in the house; I know you prefer chemical free but this worked for us so thought I’d mention it

Peppermint Oil for Mice

Peppermint oil can work for ridding an area of mice. You can use this indoors or outdoors. It is a natural product that is safe for humans and animals. Make sure that the peppermint oil you use is labeled as 100% pure. Simply put a few drops of the oil on some cotton balls. Leave the cotton balls in the areas where you know the mice are living.

Peppermint oil will dissipate quickly on the cotton balls, so you will need to replace them up to a couple times a week.
