Dishwashing liquid is your best bet to cut through grease – I’d start there to get rid of the grease and then focus on making it look nicer with another product.
This is always fun!! We buy those kitchen wipes, they seem to do a good job (or even baby wipes for that fact). Or a spray and wipe with chux or paper towels.
Gumption is abrasive so it depends on the type of paint.
I got some off mine with a strong mix of hot water and dishwashing liquid, then wiped it down with clean water.
There is 2 types of the soap mentioned as far as I know – powder and liquid.
