How do I wean my 18 month old from sucking her fingers?

Hello!

My 18 month old sucks her fingers to comfort herself during the day and also before she goes to bed. How can I stop her from doing this.

You can buy nail polish that tastes horrid. It’s used to stop people chewing nails. My friend put the nail polish on her sons thumb to stop him from sucking it!
