Hello!

I have had a pull up go thru my wash. I washed the clothes a second time, but the white stuff is till covering the clothes. Has anyone done this and how did they clean the clothes? I read on the net that if you wash them in salt that cleans them, but I’m worried that might ruin my machine??? How do you clean up after a nappy has gone through the wash?

  • I just chuck everything in the dryer and it all comes out clean! Just make sure you clean the flitter afterwards!

  • I’ve never done it with a nappy, but a tissue gives a similar effect. You have those lint and fluff brushes for clothes and find them helpful. As for the washing machine; I wipe it out and do a circle with vinegar and bicarb without clothing

  • I have heard of putting them through the dryer with those plastic balls, they’re meant to remove a lot.

  • You may need to rinse out your washing machine as bits could be caught in there.

  • If your washing machine bowl is metal,if you use salt it may rust if you don’t thoroughly wash your machine. Also some of the residue of the nappy may be stuck to the machine bowl. It may also partially or completely block the drainage hose on your washing machine. I wiould check to mke sure that the drain is not slow in draining the water away.

  • Oh no,that sounds terrible. Thankfully never done this but i would put clothes out to dry then try shaking off and rewashing.

  • yeah i haven’t done this! it would suck though

  • Pop them in the dryer!

  • Try putting them in the dryer it works with fluff and tissue.

  • i have had that happen dont rewash it makes it worse hang it and hit it with a broom to get the fluff off.

  • Salt works well and won’t damage your machine

  • Oh no, I never did that thankfully, What a nightmare.

  • I remember doing this by mistake quite a few times

  • I can’t imagine that salt would ruin your machine, it is worth a shot.

  • What did you end up doing?

  • Oh no I can jus imagin u opening machine to see that! :(

  • Hope you were able to get the solution to your problem

  • Salt shouldn’t hurt your machine, each time I dye fabric in mine I put 2kg of salt through it and it all seems to dissolve and get rinsed away.

  • A lint roller would probably work well also, or use a dust brush with hard bristles to brush it off

  • Hahaha u poor thing its so easily done
