  • I’m skeptical about the safety of sugar replacement compounds. I’d rather just have less sugar or no sugar/sweetner.

  • I don’t like sugar replacements I think they are artificial and are not the best for us… I would rather have the real thing in a smaller quantity I just think there are so many fake things in our diets now I know I feel better when I eat clean, and unprocessed.

  • some of them are worse than products with sugar. they still have a sweetness that isn’t good for you – look at the overall nutritional value and compare the benefits of the sugar and the sweetness

  • SOmetimes you just want that bit of sweetness, but i never use sugar. I will use a little bit of honey or maple syrup (Still sugar but at least it’s natural and not completely devoid of nutrients). If there is a recipe that calls for a lot of sugar i will often use xylitol. Never stevia as i can’t stand the taste. When baking for my toddlers i will always try to use banana as the sweetener, possibly with honey, or homemade apple sauce.

  • There are plenty of good books available on sugar and alternatives if you want to research further.

  • We do not add a lot of sugar to foods but do eat sugar – all things in moderation.
    Prefer sugar over sweeteners.

  • I prefer it to be removed from foods rather than replaced with something artificial

  • I’d prefer it removed, rather than replaced.

  • I personally don’t have drinks with lots of sugar, I like my tea with milk, maybe try tea
