Hello!

I’ve been single for 2 years, I’m a stay at home mum, just wondering how you meet people? How do you find people to date?

  • When it comes to finding people to date online, it can be both exciting and nerve-wracking. While internet dating can have its ups and downs, it’s important to approach it with an open mind and be cautious. Websites like doublelist provide a platform where you can meet new people and potentially find a connection. Exploring different avenues to meet potential partners can lead to unexpected and fulfilling relationships.

  • What do you enjoy doing? Find yourself a group/hobby that you enjoy and meet people that way. At least then you will have something in common.

  • I met my husband through a club we both belonged to. Mutual friends and mutual activities are the most likely way you’ll meet someone.

  • I accidentally found my partner. Went to visit my brother interstate and met his partners brother. Voila

  • As other people already suggested I think by visiting social events, via friends, clubs, church, sports and via online dating sites.

  • I think the bigger your social circle, the more chance of finding love.

  • You could try looking at things you are interested in and join online groups, chances are you will meet someone with shared interests. Tinder is a bit superficial, as all you are really doing is looking at a photo and deciding yes or no, so maybe Oasis or a paid site.

  • Oh my goodness, didn’t think this was the topic of the question when I clicked on it :/ Sorry, I’m not single, haven’t been for years. I do hear a lot of success with online dating places tho. You do need to be careful!

  • A girlfriend of mine found her partner on Oasis which is online dating service. I created a profile and was inundated. It kinda freaked me out. I was overwhelmed. You just meet for coffee and stay safe for a start x

  • It’s really common to meet people through your social network. So friends of friends or co workers (but obviously bit trickier as a stay at home mum :)
Seriously ask your friends if they know anyone! Or make friends with your friends friends and sus them out. Events like bbqs or baptisms or birthdays. If your friends know anyone ask them to invite them to something you can both be at. I knew my husbands family well but not him so was happy to chat to him when we bumped into each other.

  • I don’t know.. But I wish you the best of luck.. Everyone needs a companion!

The reason I don’t know, is because: I met my husband when I was 13… He was my best friend from the first day we met… I had boyfriends, he had girlfriends, and then no one stuck around, only he for me, and me for him! So when i was 16, we first started to date, and by time i was 17 we were together legit (partnered, living together).. I am 32 this year, and we are still going strong! So, you see, I have no clue about dating, other than dating the man i married.. lol

  • I met a nice guy on rsvp he is very nice and we have become good friends. just be careful and make sure people know where you are meeting them

  • Try dating sites if you are keen. Most guys are just sleezy but I have met a few friends/decent guys.

  • Sometimes these things take time but good advice here though.

  • Also; through networks; such as friends and family?

  • I met my husband through a friend, best match up ever!

  • Online dating is good. If you are concerned with people being time wasters then you can look at a paid site such as eHarmony. Generally only genuine people will pay for a dating site if they are serious about dating etc. Good luck!

  • plenty of fish is a really popular site for finding people in your area.

  • Possibly through an hobbies or interests groups.

  • have you ever tried online dating? RSVP? i know heaps of people it has been successful for!
