First, sterilize the tip of the tweezers using rubbing alcohol. Then, pull out the splinter in the same direction that it entered the skin. Never squeeze out a splinter, as this may cause it to break into smaller pieces that are harder to remove. Use a small needle to remove the splinter.
My mum used to use a fine threading needle to slowly pick it out while pinching the splinter . You need to be careful and patient so you don’t jab yourself as it is done bit by bit . It is not as bad as it sounds .
in the bath… sit in a warm bath and let the skin around them go really soft before getting them out with tweezers… failing this i would go to a doctor.
I haven’t tried it yet but I read you can make a paste of baking soda & water & place it over the splinter & cover with bandage for a few minutes & it should just pop out.
It has happened to me,have iced area to numb it a bit and with tweezers and patience (sometimes help if others around) gently pick back skin around area of splinter entry to get better access of protruding end, then use tweezers gently pull to remove. zif too deeply imbedded go to medical centre for assistance, hope this is of use
